A Swiss federal shooting trophy, 9.25" tall x 4.50" diameter, .800 silver bearing Swiss hallmarks as well as Wendt & Heidorn, Geneva jewelers trademark, top part is decorated with a scene with men shooting rifles and drinking and a similar one set in a different century with men shooting crossbows, shields, rifles and crossbows also adorn the top inscribed "Tir Federal Geneve 1887", stem is flanked by two eagles and the Swiss cross shield, flared segmented base, bowl has interior gilt finish, these "Schutzenfest" or rifle shooting competitions are a solid Swiss tradition, a rare and unusual trophy, stock #081245N3
